OB-Brøndby preview

Sunday 3/5 19.00
OB (8th) are almost saved with the win in Esbjerg in last round. They still have to gather a few more points to survive, but this should be done without problems. For this match, they have some positive squad news with the return of captain Ari Skulason and midfielder Azer Busuladzic. Both should go straight into the line-up. Central defender Daniel Høegh is banned, and this could spark some changes with Skogseid or Diarra might get a rare start in the central defense. This is not the most comforting choice, but OB coach Ove Pedersen prefers using his best central defense alternative, Hallgrimur Jonasson, in the defensive midfield. Offensively OB did look lively in the last match with Rasmus Falk in great shape and Emil Larsen doing better. Brøndby (4th) played an impressive second half against FC Vestsjælland last weekend (won 4-0). They are starting to come alive now that the pitches are improving and the talismanic central defender Daniel Agger has returned to steer the team. For this match, two of the best players in 2015, midfielder Lebogang Phiri and winger Ferhan Hasani, return from suspension. Central midfielder Martin Ørnskov is banned, and he should be replace by Phiri. Veterans Kahlenberg and Elmander remain injured, while young in-form midfielder Christian Nørgaard is doubtful. If he is out, fellow youngster Frederik Holst is set to start.

Brøndby and OB always play some tight and intense matches and it would be a surprise if this match ended in goal fest. Brøndby have more quality at the moment, so they should be favourites, but the match could easily end in a draw and the price is fine.
