FC Vestsjælland-FC Nordsjælland preview

Sunday 3/5 14.00
FC Vestsjælland (11th) will be in a great mood after qualifying for their first ever cup final in midweek. After some great matches, they have seemed to lose some power however. The last two matches have not been impressive, but now they return to the home soil, and they will hope to find some momentum. They have no reported absences, and unless some players need a rest after the match on Wednesday, they should be able to field the strongest team here. The will hope that vital striker Rasmus Festersen is back at his best after having been a bit in the shadow for the past matches. FC Nordsjælland (6th) are still in the hunt for the 3rd place. They are just three points behind and they should have fine motivation. They also have a completely absence-free team to choose from with the return of defensive midfielder Lasse Petry. The last match against Silkeborg showed some promising signs, although FC Nordsjælland are always much weaker away from their own artificial pitch. It will be interesting to see if FC Vestsjælland can contain the strong offensive players of Uffe Bech, Joshua John and David Moberg-Karlsson.

There is no doubt that FC Nordsjælland have the best team. They have just not convinced in away matches. Looking at stats, FC Vestsjælland hold a higher home SoTR (44.5%) than FC Nordsjælland hold in away matches (41.5%). FC Vestsjælland have also earned more points at home than FC Nordsjælland away. Only based on stats, the home win looks like a good bet. Against it is the match on Wednesday that could mean that FC Vestsjælland’s players are less fresh. FC Nordsjælland will win this match if there key players step up, but if not they will have a hard time. Should be value on the home side here.
