Viborg (11th) streak of not losing reached its ending point at game number three (0-1 vs. Brøndby). Viborg delivered a fine performance in a fairly even match. We are especially impressed with the new Brazilian midfielder Wilton Figueiredo’s good playmaking abilities. Viborg have registered an average of 8 shots on target in the past two matches, which is above the league average of 5.2 and team average of 4.2. Could it be the Wilton effect? The problem for Viborg is something very uncharacteristic, when looking back at autumn, the inability to convert chances to goal. We have several times claimed that Viborg would be unable to maintain their high scoring percentage from autumn, 39% (league average: 27%), but to see the scoring percentage drop to 14% in spring is quite remarkable. We should expect to see Viborg improving that number soon. Otherwise relegation is a sure thing. OB (7th) have been improving over the past two matches. The 2-1 win in Brøndby was remarkable, while the 2-2 draw at home against SønderjyskE was disappointing in terms of points, but quite uplifting in terms of play. OB have created an average of 9 shots on target in the last two matches (5.9 team average)! A main reason for OB’s improvement could be the return of several key players to full fitness. One of the more important players is the versatile Bashkim Kadrii who entered as a substitute in the last match and made an assist. Kadrii was OB’s best player at the beginning of the season until a serious knee injury sidelined him. OB’s striker Skoubo left the last match injured, but his potential absence is of minor importance. In fact it could give Kadrii an eagerly awaited starting line-up appearance. OB’s central defender Anders Møller Christensen returns from suspension.

Two teams that have their force in the offensive players. An over 2.5 goal bet seems logical, when having the recent performances in mind. The danger is that the importance of the match in the relegation race might have an effect if the score is equal in the second half.
