Randers-AaB preview

Monday 6/4 19.30
Randers (3rd) finally got back on the point sheet with a fine draw at FC Copenhagen (1-1). It was fairly even match, where Randers also hit the post at the very end. Randers looked good despite of being without two important regulars, right back Johnny Thomsen and left midfielder Elmar Bjarnason. They could return here, although it is 50/50 with both. Striker Djiby Fall made a magnificent effort after being subbed on in last match (one goal and one shot on post) and he is likely to get a chance in the starting line-up here. Randers have been one of the most dominant home teams of the season, but have just failed to capitalize. Their SoTR of 66% is really amazing, telling that Randers have approximately 2/3 of shots on target in their home matches. AaB (6th) have been riding the luck for some time, but in the last two matches luck has faded. Apart from an impressive 3-1 win in Esbjerg, AaB have not looked compelling. AaB have been especially poor in away matches, where there SoTR is on 33% - quite a difference compared to Randers’ home SoTR. Strong central defender Rasmus Thelander is set to miss this match with an injury. Kasper Pedersen is set to cover, but he will have a difficult task against a strong Randers attack.

Randers are a strong home team with positive momentum, while AaB are a poor away team with negative momentum. The home win looks interesting here, but an over bet could also be interesting. The two teams usually give each other a good fight with 5 out of last 6 matches have ended with more than 2.5 goals.

Ideas: 1 – 2.31 at Betsafe
Over 2.25 goals – 2.05 at Bet365

UPDATE: Bjarnason and Thomsen have both returned to training and are a part of Randers' squad. Randers could possibly field the strongest eleven. AaB without Thelander and striker Jacobsen who picked up a knee injury in midweek. Good team news for Randers - bad for AaB. Good news for our Randers bet.
