Hobro (7th)
faced a superior opponent in the 3-0 loss to FC Midtjylland in last round. This
time around they return to face an opponent of more comparable quality. Hobro
have looked strong defensively and have benefitted from the consistency in the
squad selection. Hobro are probably still without left wing Mikkel Beckmann, but
this is the only player missing from the preferred eleven. Hobro are only five
points from the 3rd place and a win here will put them into the race for a
medal; unbelievable at the start of the season. Silkeborg (12th) have had a
brilliant start to 2015 with 7 points in 5 games. Silkeborg have been quite
lucky and scored on the chances they have had. The chance production has not
improved in 2015, and the sudden improvement in results is likely to be just
good luck (something that Silkeborg surely did not have in 2014). Central
defender Simon Jakobsen and striker Nicolaj Agger return from suspension, while
team top goalscorer Emil Scheel could return from injury. Agger and Scheel is
set to face for the second attacker position, since the stand-in Morten Beck
has scored three goals in the last two matches. Frans Putros is suspended, but
would probably not have been in the line-up anyway.
I had a
personal bet on Hobro a week ago, but the odds have since dropped too much.
Currently this looks like a no bet match. If anything bet on a low scoring
match, since both teams have struggled with the chance creation in 2015.
Idea: Under 2.25 – 1.85 at Bet365
UPDATE: Beckmann is back for Hobro, but would be a surprise to see him in the line-up just yet. Scheel is still out for Silkeborg - should be good news for Hobro.
