The big
Copenhagen derby will be played on the terrible pitch in Brøndby, so no pretty
match should be expected. Brøndby (4th) have won the last two matches and have
looked strong in 2015, although their form appears to be dropping. On the
bright side is the expected return of the talismanic defender Daniel Agger.
Agger is often injured, but when he plays he is a tremendous positive influence
on his teammates. Another influential player, the central midfielder Thomas
Kahlenberg is likely to miss this match with an injury. However, this looks to
be Brøndby’s only absence after a period with many important players missing.
Brøndby are not a team that as such is suited for the poor pitch in Brøndby,
but they seem to have adjusted to the style and are typically very difficult to
beat here (home record 8-2-1). FC Copenhagen (2nd) are defensively looking
solid, but offensively they only have one strength at the moment: Nicolai
Jørgensen. He is the brain and the X-factor of FC Copenhagen’s offense. He is
suspended here, and with the alternatives being the underperforming de Ridder
and the unproven Sigurdarson, this looks like a grim absence for FC Copenhagen.
In defence the situation is also optimal with the strong Swede Mikael Antonsson
being doubtful. However, the alternative here, fellow Swede Per Nilsson, is a
good one.
Brøndby have
been looking good in 2015 despite of many important players being absent. Now
they have an almost fully fit team and face rivals FC Copenhagen on the home
pitch. They have only lost one home match in 2015, and it would be surprising
if this would be the second given the absence of FC Copenhagen key player
Nicolai Jørgensen.

UPDATE: Kahlenberg is out for Brøndby. Agger and Antonsson in called squads. Still believe the home win bet looks very good.
