Esbjerg-OB

Sunday 06/10 13.00
After a miserable autumn last year where none in the squad could score, Esbjerg (2nd) have improved and are now the top scoring team in the league. With 2.4 goals scored per game it is 1.3 more than last season. Of those 24 goals 13 has been scored in the first half. If the matches were finished after the first half, Esbjerg would have been the top team. But they have a problem closing the matches in the second half. With the season ten matches in, some patterns are starting to emerge. One of these patterns is that Esbjerg usually are the first team to score. Of the ten matches that has been played, in nine of them Esbjerg have been the first team to score. OB (9th) have conceded only six goals on the road but have also only scored four and of the five matches played away they have yet to win. Injury and suspension news: OB’s midfielder Rasmus Falk is back which gives a lot of offensive force, while defender Anders Møller Christensen is suspended and this could be a disadvantage for the defence.

Esbjerg have scored 15 goals home at Blue Water Arena and only conceded five and it looks like they will continue the scoring. With their Europa League match Thursday night they are likely to be a bit fatigued. We believe that the best betting idea is the home team to win first half since they are the better team right now, but might not have the energy to 90 minutes.
