This is a
match between the two promoted sides. Viborg (11th) played an unspectacular
match at FC Midtjylland and lost 2-0. They clearly lack some firepower in
attack with the absence of team top goalscorer Serge Deble. He will probably return
here, and he gives the Viborg attack extra dimensions with his speed and dribbling
skills. He is surely the most important player for Viborg that otherwise is a
team of ordinary and reliable players. AGF (4th) were the surprise of first
round with their 2-1 win against Brøndby. Mate Vatsadze (top goalscorer in the
1st Division last season) scored both goals and he really looks to be in-form.
AGF have made some new signings this summer and they appeared to add some
stability in the midfield that is fairly strong on the ball. The defence is
still not all too compelling, but it is a team of many experienced players and
they will not be easy to beat.
Viborg won
the 1st Division last season, but AGF have made the most remarkable summer
signings. Our impression is that AGF are the stronger side here, but Viborg
should be small favourites due to the home field advantage (although AGF tend
to be strongest away from home). However, we see no reason for making AGF so
big underdogs as here. Should it happen that Deble misses the match, AGF will
have an excellent chance of winning here.
Recommendation: 2 – 3.20 at Cashpoint
UPDATE: Deble set to play for Viborg instead of Curth (massive improvement). A change is also expected on the wing, where Sivebæk will replace Andersen (same same). AGF could make a defensive change, but all players are fit.

Nice value here. Even though Viborg were much better than AGF last season, they will have far more troubles this time staying up.
